More Holiday Photos

Now that the holidays are done, things have slowed down quite a bit (and I'm not complaining). There definitely aren't as many note-worthy family events to photograph in January as there were in November and December.

So! I thought it might be fun to take a second look at my holiday pictures, and maybe post a few that didn't make it to the blog the first time around... but that you might enjoy nonetheless.

Let's start with the photo at left. It was taken at Laurie's house, the weekend before Thanksgiving.

Emma and I liked this "fancy" hairstyle we came up with for her, though of course my brothers had to tell me how much it reminded them of Sarah Palin's up-doos (I am not one of her many fans).

I have to admit there's a resemblance there... especially when Emma wears glasses with her hair like this. Still, I'd rather we all said that Emma's hair looks like when Tina Fey impersonates Sarah Palin... 'kay?

Here's Mom and Dad from a couple visits ago.

Smile, Dad! Next time you'll make it to the blog the first time around :).

Laurie, must you be in every possible picture? This was supposed to be a charming holiday shot of kids in pajamas with stuffed animals.

Laurie seemed to feel that by placing a blanket on her head she would blend right in with the other little darlings.

Wrong! This photo is banished to my left-over blog rejects (kidding!!!).

Here's a few pictures of my girls-- Susan, Emma, and Leila-- from Christmas. They spent a lot of time doing each other's hair; it was fun to see.

Reading to a sleepy Leila.

Here we have Jonathan hanging out with Coco... who's on the carpet. She's not supposed to be on the carpet. Bad dog!

This is actually quite a nice picture of Laurie and Mark. Not sure why it didn't make it to the big Christmas write-up.

At right, my stepson David...

At left, a picture of the kids playing that now-infamous Risk game.

Here's Jonathan with his new lamp from Grandma Jane. Since it resembles several of ours, we tried to pull the old switcheroo on him before he left (our lamps have been knocked down by Leila several times, so the light bulbs hang at wierd angles).
Unfortunately, he didn't fall for it and therefore left with his brand-new lamp.

At right, Michael eats a chip while Jill, Kristen, and Susan talk in the background.

Here's the guys watching football on Pat's TV. As you can see, it's very comfortable for a hunting cabin! From left to right: Brent, Phil, Steve, and Adam.

Malia and Leila.

Jon hands his dad a plate of food. Also pictured: Eric (seated) and Pat and Mark.

Here's another shot of Leila. On the screen you can see a picture of my stepdaughter Susan when she was a little girl. They look kind of alike, don't they?

David lets Leila play with his cell phone awhile. David's beret was a new look, and I liked it!

Well, hope you enjoyed this montage of my "extra" holiday pictures. I'll try to come up with something more original next week! Stay tuned!

We love you, Laurie! Sleepy eyes and a blanket on your head and all!
